This is one of the 108 Divya Desam for Vaishnavas.This is somewhere near Mayiladuthurai...for I was able to visit from there couple of years back. The temple is surrounded by paddy fields and a pond in front of the temple..Looked it is neatly maintained by one old security man who gave me company till the Archagar came around 11 in the morning as I remember. A trust from Chennai is doing some service in maintaining the temple. Wish such trusts takes care of many 276 Paadal Petra Sthalams of Shiva Temples.
