Value education - when will it be made mandatory in all schools?

When the moral values of society has not been addressed by GOVTS how can we ever see any real improvement in removing black money or anything black...We have people liking BLACK COLOR dress. That is the first sign of degraded values in the society, when people accept black color dress in auspicious functions or in places where they are not mourning/protesting.

Irrespective of all the Pseudo spiritual/yoga/religious Gurus, and how they eye nothing but money...Even these Pseudo Gurus have NEVER been seen in Black dress as I can remember...But their so called followers are ready to wear 'Black' dress. So these people with black dress are here to protest/mourn for something outside or inside within their own minds as agitated/depressed/frustrated souls.

To end degradation of values in society Govt must first bring value education mandatory in ALL SCHOOLS. Would they do it? Do we have a leader who has that foresight/courage/conviction on bringing values to students mandatory at a time when from Chief secretary to CM who has pending corruption cases to teachers who have been advised on their dress codes show signs of lacking values. To me this is more important than the drive of ending Black money.

I have no doubt in future someone will definitely make Value Education mandatory and see thats implemented also...but by that time, society will see more of Chennai floods/Vardah Cyclone/etc...

Had Maratha King Shivaji not been around, can not imagine the country as it is today...ALL SUCCESS OF THE PRESENT COUNTRY OWES TO THE GREATEST MODERN INDIAN KING SHIVAJI....

People who oppose expenses on such a great KING are really afraid about the resurrection of the greatness of India....As people will start drawing inspiration from such great King.

Mother Teresa - CNN reports-Is it true?

What is the accountability of the funds coming to them?That is not clear and CNN attempt to interview was declined...Do we ever hear such news in our local media?

Why I love Kendra Vidyalayas Morning Assemblies

Its so nice when one sees in real life, what one dreams about.

Kendra Vidyalayas morning assemblies...

National flag is hoisted by different teachers or guests to school.All salutes to the flag together, remembering the sacrifices made for this very flag even to this day.

National anthem sung by all, with band/instruments being played by students.

Whole arrangements of mike/public addressing is all done by students.(Teachers do not assist, just watch only in case of real help the teachers step in).

Prayers are all sung, again no CDs.

All students sing prayers with hands joined together,eyes closed.

Birthday students given a chance to say couple of words(their wishes or ambition in life,etc)

What a wonderful morning to begin the day in a place where children learn to become citizens of the country, before becoming a world citizen.

If only have the power, will make ALL SCHOOLS to follow the Kendra Vidyalayas morning assembly.

Democracy or Democrazy

Having seen how the west politics is ruining their country(which is extremely difficult to convey/convince our English educated English loyalists who imagines life in West is fine), I felt the root cause of it with their invention called Democrazy.

From the English/French/Russian histories we can see that their Royals allowed the need for revolutions in their countries by not properly taking care of their people in their Kingdoms(French/Russian revolutions are well known), even if there was no open revolution like French/Russian, in English soil, their invention of Democrazy is what I term as revolution in their land. This new born rebel baby Democrazy got its junk food from the newly invented America continent whose history had never known any(bad or good) Royals.

Thus, deprived of Royals ruling nicely as how Indian Royals were ruling(we read in books, how Kings would go out in nights disguised to get a first hand knowledge of their own people), US people started feeding the rebel baby called Democrazy and now its sickness is out in the open, showing its state of things.How such a rebel baby can produce embarrassment to the ones who fed and grew it, only few there or here can understand.

However one may TRUMPet democrazy, it will eventually meet the same story EVERYWHERE, just as how it has produced a candidate n question...it has happened in other places and will continue till a time when society understands how Royals ruled India for the betterment of all in the society.

People who can not understand, will buy the thoughts of the English who wanted to paint a bad picture of Royals to introduce their rebel baby and will continue to say this rebel baby is good... read on more of this said long back perhaps in early 1940s or 1945s...

It really pains as one lives in such a time...a Silver medalist in Olympic Sindhu gets 13 crores...while Mariyappan Gold medalist gets 2crores, even the Silver medalist from Haryana gets 4 crores...

In the below article, replace Singapore with India or any country which shows difference in rewards to sons/daughters of the country who bring a medal representing the country irrespective of levels/competition.

Wonder what would have been rewarded for Mariyappan had he been born in AP/Delhi or Haryana?

In Sweden, in any school if there are minimum 5 students speaking lets say Marathi, they can demand an assistant who knows Swedish and Marathi to help those Marathi speaking children. So much of importance given to mother tongue.

Would our education ministry or educationists listen to this Prof. from German University? Now for we have still not heard what Mahatma Gandhi said...For none can say it better than him... "If this process is still persisted in, it bids fair to rob the nation of its soul. Geo or Jya - Means measurement in Sanskrit

Long back I read these lines from Deivathin Kural and so when I saw these YagaKundams near Sri Perumbudur, birth place of Sri Ramanujar I thought I will share it...

Everything in those times were connected to Spirituality, as they say, 'Part of Life'. Whether dance or music or literature all towards God as means and end. Sacrifice has its own meaning with these dimensions and shapes, having its results..Do we ever question the antenna's size,shape,etc? Just as the Antenna's in telecommunication system have their own reasons, these Sacrificial Pits or YayaKundams have their own reasons for their dimensions and shapes...

If we perform Yagas as mentioned in Bhagad Gita, we get rain and benefit is ours..if not suffering is also ours...This is the proof in spirituality,while in science instantly signal gets cut off when antenna is wrongly designed....

Would the present modern Spiritual Gurus who open up their Yoga, Kriya, Thanthra and all other kinds of classes extracting course fees, in every street corners, appeal their sincere followers to take this as cleaning places of worship is cleaning the hearts?But these Spiritual Gurus need temples for their pamphlets distributions and other marketing activities to get the clients/customers/agents for their Yoga,Kriya,Thanthra,etc...

Is Swachh Bharath ever possible keeping our places of worship unclean? As I see it neither such Gurus will say, nor such followers are ready...So much so of the present day Spiritual Values from Gurus down to their followers. I wish someone proves me wrong, and instead of spending crores on so called World Cultural Fest or Traditional Games Fest, they advice their followers to clean places of worship...to keep the great grand culture of this land alive and to keep people's body/mind and soul really fit.

Schools and Colleges can adopt nearby temples or places of worship to make it secular and clean the premises under Swachh Bharath...

Sivasthanam Kanchi Puram

Ever since I read about Sivasthanam near Kanchi Puram, where Kanchi MahaSwamigal used to stay, I wanted to make a visit there and spend sometime...It happened few years back and here are some photos of that visit...Also its said that Adi Sankarar had visited this temple...Now its a serene calm temple where Veda Padasalai is happening in its traditional sense...All the blessings of MahaSwamigal...Also the famous well was also seen...its said Mrs Indira Gandhi or Mr Rajive Gandhi when being Prime Minister of the country they visited MahaSwamigal here...like many other devotees...

Thiruvotriyur or திருஒற்றியூர்

Visiting Thiruvotriyur in North Chennai. India, what can it teach us?

After a very long time, a book makes me interested. This time also by sheer force of chance, stumbled across,'India What can it teach us?'. This is a series of lectures to the Imperial(now its called Indian) Civil Service candidates from Britain in 1880s about to land in India to rule India for the British/East India Company.

In the title of the book or even in lecture title, as ''What can India teach us?'' Who is the us? In 1880s it was the Imperial/Indian Civil Service candidates, but now in 2016, it could very well be the English educated loyalists who even now follow strictly many systems of the English people in education and administration including the very name of the examination....to this date as ICS.

Lecture 2 - On the truthful character of the Hindus.

Lecture 3 - Human interest of Sanskrit Literature.

If I were to look over the whole world to find out the country most richly endowed with all the wealth, power, and beauty that nature can bestow – in some parts a very paradise on earth – I should point to India. If I were asked under what sky the human mind has most full developed some of its choicest gifts, has most deeply pondered on the greatest problems of life, and has found solutions of some of them which well deserve the attention even of those who have studied Plato and Kant – I should point to India. And if I were to ask myself from what literature we, here in Europe, we who have been nurtured almost exclusively on the thoughts of Greeks and Romans, and of one Semitic race, the Jewish, may draw that corrective which is most wanted in order to make our inner life more perfect, more comprehensive, more universal, in fact more truly human, a life, not for this life only, but a transfigured and eternal life – again I should point to India.

That very Sanskrit, the study of which may at first seem so tedious to you and so useless, if only you will carry it on, as you may carry it on here at Cambridge better than anywhere else, will open before you large layers of literature, as yet almost unknown and unexplored, and allow you an insight into strata of thought deeper than any you have known before,and rich in lessons that appeal to the deepest sympathies of the human heart.

In ''Human interest of Sanskrit Literature'', he says,I should advise every young man who wishes to enjoy his life in India, and to spend his years there with profit to himself and to others to learn Sanskrit and to learn it well.

திருவடிசூலம் என்னும் திருஇடைச்சுரம்

Few years back, was able to visit this temple,Thiruvadisoolam between Thirupporur and Chengalpat...The temple was sung by ThiruGnanaSambandhar...The temple was really peaceful with village calmness...From the main road to the temple its a walking distance of 20 minutes if I remember right.
