சாதியை சீண்டிய சினிமா

ஒரே கதையை பல முறை சினிமாவில் சொன்ன பெருமை எந்த கதை என்றால், பலரின் பதில் 'நந்தனார்'. நந்தனார் என்றும் திரு நாளை போவார் என்றும் அழைக்கப் பட்ட சிறந்த சிவ பக்தர்.

நந்தனாரை சாதிக் கொடுமைக்கு உதாரணமாக மக்கள் எல்லோருக்கும் எடுத்து சென்ற பெருமை சினிமாவுக்கு உண்டு. ஆனால் இந்த சினிமா ஏன்தான் தீயில் தன்னையே அர்ப்பணித்த ஒரு சிறந்த அரசன், சிவ பக்தன் மற்றும் சிறந்த வீரன் புகழ் சோழ நாயனாரை கண்டுகொள்ள வில்லையோ?

சதி(உடன் கட்டை ஏறுதல் என்றும் சொல்வர்),சாதி பேசும் மக்களுக்கு புகழ் சோழ நாயனார் ஏன் தன்னை தீயில் அர்ப்பணித்தார் என்று தெரிய வேண்டுமா? உண்மையில் சினிமா மக்களுக்கு நல்லது செய்ய வேண்டும் என்றால் புகழ் சோழ நாயனார் போன்றவர்களின் புகழை உலகம் அறிய செய்ய வேண்டும்.

ஆனால் வாஸ்தவத்தில் அறுபத்து மூவர் சரித்திரங்களுக்கு அதாரிட்டியான பெரிய புராணத்தில் வருகிற நந்தனார் கதையில் அந்த வேதியல் பாத்திரமே கிடையாது. பெரிய புராணத்தில் திருநாளைப் போவார் நாயனார் புராணம் என்ற தலைப்பில் வருகிற நந்தனாருடைய கதையைப் பார்த்தாலே தெரியும்....

உண்மையான நந்தனாரை தெரிந்து கொள்ள மேலே படியுங்கள்.

Today along with SEVAS volunteers was able to do ஆதிபுரீஸ்வரர் சிந்தாதிரிப்பேட்டை உழவாரம்... This is for second time doing it, as we did few years back in this very same temple. Heard its more than 800 years old..The Vishnu Temple...While Sivan temple did not find out when it was built. Wish that Media takes up the responsibility of their own contribution to Swachh Bharath by reporting on these works...in every issue of their publication if Print Media. While TV media could report on these news weekly basis...It must be their contribution to Swachh Bharath...Each one in media can ask themselves what has been their contribution on a regular basis.

Navodaya Schools wanted in Tamil Nadu

நவோதயா வித்யாலயா பள்ளிகள் தமிழ் நாட்டில் வேண்டும். அனைத்தும்(உணவில் இருந்து, உறங்கும் இடம்வரை என்னவெல்லாம் ஒரு மாணவனுக்கு தேவையோ) இலவசமாக கொடுக்கும் நவோதயா பள்ளிகளை வேண்டாம் என்று சொல்ல யாருக்கு என்ன உரிமை இருக்கு. இந்தியாவில் உள்ள அனைத்து மாநிலங்களிலும் இப்பள்ளிகள் மூலம் பல திறமையான கிராமப்புற மாணவர்கள் பயன் அடைந்துள்ளார்கள். ஆனால் தமிழ் நாட்டில் இந்தப் பயனை மாணவர்கள் பயன் பெற மொழி வெறியர்கள் தடை செய்கிறார்கள். தமிழ் நாட்டு மாணவர்கள் தான் 'நவோதயா வித்யாலயா பள்ளிகள் தமிழ் நாட்டில் வேண்டும்' என்று குரல் கொடுக்க வேண்டும். மாணவர்களின் எதிர்காலத்தில் நல்லெண்ணம் கொண்ட அனைவரும் இதற்கு ஆதரவு அளிக்க முன் வர வேண்டும்.இல்லையேல் மாணவர்களின் உரிமையை நாம் பறித்தது போல் ஆகும்.(மற்ற மாநிலங்களில் உள்ள மாணவர்களுக்கு கிடைக்கும் உரிமையை தமிழ் நாட்டு மாணவர்களுக்கு கிடைக்காமல் செய்வது உரிமை பறிப்பு செயல் தானே?). எனவே இனிமேலும் இவ்வாறு தமிழ் நாட்டு மாணவர்களுக்கு கிடைக்க வேண்டிய நல்லதொரு முற்றும் இலவச நல்லதொரு கல்வியை கொடுக்க எல்லோரும் பாடு படுவோம்.

மொழி முழக்கம் செய்பவர்கள் பாரதியாரை உதாரணமாக கொண்டு எல்லா மொழிகளையும் கற்க வேண்டமா? அவர்களால் முடியவில்லை என்றால் வளரும் மாணவர்களையாவது கற்க விட வேண்டும். மாணவர்கள் விழிப்போடு இருந்து சிறந்த நவோதயாப் பள்ளியை தமிழ் நாட்டில் கொண்டு வந்து பயனடைய வேண்டும்.

ஏழ்மையில் பள்ளிக்கு சென்று இன்று வெற்றிக்களிப்புடன் வளர்ந்த மனிதர்கள் இந்த நவோதயா பள்ளிகளுக்கு குரல் கொடுத்து தமிழ் நாட்டுக்கு இப்பள்ளிகளை கொண்டு வர உதவ வேண்டும். மேடைகளில் நவோதயாப் பள்ளிகளின் பயன்களை மேடைகளிலும் ஊடகங்களிலும் சொல்லி மக்களையும் மாணவர்களையும் நவோதயப் பள்ளிகள் தமிழ் நாட்டுக்கு வேண்டும் என்று முழக்கம் செய்து பள்ளிகளையும் கொண்டு வர வேண்டும்.

Sometime back I met a CBSE official who told me,'What a shame you Tamil people miss all freely given in Navodaya schools, everything free and you want to miss it..Shame'...Truly I did not show my ignorance on what is Navodaya school or why we are missing it...Now I did a search to find a bit about them and am really ashamed and angry against those Tamil fanatics who are bent on poisoning younger generations against Hindi...which is a national language..

Not even a debate or discussions on these topics in our Media...and neither Schools talk about all these...nor any educationists in the State of Tamil Nadu discuss...தமிழன் என்று சொல்லவே கேவலமா இருக்கு...சிறந்த ஒரு தேசிய இலவசக் கல்வியை எல்லா மாணவர்களுக்கும் கிடைக்க வழி செய்ய முடியாத சினிமா மயக்கத்தில் மயங்கி இருக்கும் ஒரு இனமா தமிழ் இனத்தை பார்க்க வேண்டியிருக்கு.

To me, this must be taken up as Human Rights or Citizen Rights violation by TN Govt for not providing students what is available in other states of the country...But our children are taught on Human rights on Drinking/Driving/Dressing and what not? This is a clear case of violation of rights of students.

திருவெறும்பூர் எறும்பீஸ்வரர் ஆலயம்

திருச்சி அருகாமையில் இருக்கும் எறும்பீஸ்வரர் ஆலயம் திருவெறும்பூர் என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது...2016ல் அங்கு சென்ற போது இந்த புகைப் படங்களை எடுக்க முடிந்தது.

Ministers/MLA/MP children must study/treated in Govt Schools/Hospitals

தங்கள் குழந்தைகளை அனைவரும் அரசுப் பள்ளிகளில் சேர்க்கும் நிலை விரைவில் வரும் என பள்ளிக் கல்வித்துறை அமைச்சர் ---Said so in Tamil Nadu...After reading the news, I could not stop thinking in below lines...

இந்த கல்வி அமைச்சர் அவரின் பிள்ளைகளை எந்தப் பள்ளியில் சேர்த்துள்ளாராம்? தமிழ் நாட்டில் ஆட்சி செய்தவர்கள் 'நாங்கள் கல்வியை/சுகாதாரத்தை மேம்படுத்துகிறோம்' என்று சொல்லி வோட்டு போடுபவர்களை ஏமாற்றுகிறார்கள். ஆனால் இவர்கள் மட்டும் தனியார் பள்ளியிலும், வைத்திய சாலைகளில் சென்று தங்களின் சேவைகள் பூர்த்தி செய்வார்கள். இதை வைத்து சினிமா எடுத்து நடித்தவர்கள் கூட மந்திரி/முதல் அமைச்சர் எல்லாம் ஆகி அங்கும் தங்களின் நடிப்பு கலையை இவ்வாறெல்லாம் சொல்லி மெருகு செய்வார்கள். மக்கள் ஆட்சி என்று கூறி, மன்னர் ஆட்சியை ஒழித்த இந்த ஜனநாயகத்தில் இந்த கூத்தெல்லாம் சிறந்த நடிப்புதான்...

People must demand a law which makes all Govt people including Ministers/MLA/MPs to send their children to Govt schools and also they must get themselves admitted in Govt Hospitals...Will they do it? For I think this is the only way to improve the Govt schools and hospitals...all other statements on improving education/health of the state is merely a lip service...Media should ask these questions...and make the Ministers/MLAs/MPs to be more responsible...The inventors of Democrazy(British people) have designed it such a way to keep their own interests...and here they use the very same democrazy to enter these Private places of education/health areas to sell their process/products.

Ramakrishna Math Swachh Bharath June 18th 2017

Every Sunday Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore has been doing this service of Swachh Bharath..Only few Sundays I have been able to participate due to various reasons including continuing my service with other organizations. Today was able to visit Draupadi Amman Dharmarajah Temple in Mylapore near Mundagakanniamman temple. The temple was small, but the priest there is taking care of the temple to his best level with planting of many useful trees..including Mango, Vilva, Papaya, Jamun, Nilavembu, Lemon,etc... There were also couple of cute rabbits seen in the temple, taken care by the priest. Wish more such organization comes to dedicate sundays for Swachh Bharath like Ramakrishna Math..Also wish every media both TV and Print media gives a page for Swachh Bharath initiative and report on such works. This is how Swachh Bharath can be a success.

Hoysala Temple style architect from Cardiff University

Why is that none of the Indian universities have the required resource to do this? Do we have our Universities to teach these temple architecture? If yes, then why have we brought a someone from Cardiff University? If no, why and when are we going to have our universities to do these works?

My biggest worry is not who is doing it, for it does not matter whether Indian does it or a foreigner does it…But because we know that an education purposely given to India to degrade its rich heritage, culture and wisdom will NEVER do justice in doing the work. This is because they lack the qualification, they have got only some influence and will NEVER match the Indian qualification which should have been transferred in its pure sense, even if we may not have it now, we must make all arrangements to do such transfer from father to son, the hereditary way to transfer knowledge on these architecture.

Having educated us to abandone our rich heritage, culture and wisdom and educated to look upon English education great...These English have embraced our Rich heritage, culture and wisdom in their Universities...They always had a double standard and few of us here only knows it, sadly.

The temple, designed in the striking Hoysala style, will come up on seven acres of land here, funded by donations.

The structure shuns modern-day cement. Floated by a public trust, it promises to be bigger than the Belur Chennakeshava temple. Leading the team is architect Adam Hardy, Professor of Asian Architecture at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University.

Am at loss of words as how to explain how our education on one hand does not glorify our rich heritage, culture and wisdom and invite English education on one hand and on the other hand the very English through another channel TRY to learn our rich heritage, culture and wisdom. God only knows whether they really want to learn with sincerity or under the guise of learning they introduce again some new things which may again damage our rich heritage, culture and wisdom. Wonder if such things happen whether we are in position to understand what has really happened...

For few months back some foreigners were invited to inspect many temples in Tamil Nadu including under the cover of seeing whether the renovation work is damaging the temple architecture...

A team from UNESCO, which has set out on a fact-finding mission to ascertain the state of renovations and other aspects in temples across the State, inspected the Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple on Monday.

What a shame to the descendants of people who built these great granite temples...We have fallen to such an extent to seek foreigners advice/service in our temple buildings and architecture and maintenance...And what is our Education's goal?

Will the Prime Minister do what Mahatma Gandhiji wanted?

Having read these below lines from Economist magazine...I understood that English people are yet again targeting to enter India with more power to Englisize the Indian young minds, as they say catch them young...What should be the worry of English journalist from London to worry about Indian education when back home in London education is suffering in many ways. They wrote the article to make it a case to say, India needs more private schools and thus English wants to sell in these new Private schools anything and everything English including people who are now in India to 'educate' young children in India and all this happens under the blessings of our 'ignorant' or 'corrupt' Governments.

But he could do a lot more. His promise to create a “new India” will be hollow if his country is stuck with schools from the 19th century.

What an irony that English people are writing these words...when what they call as 19th century was nothing but their own education designed purposefully for Indian minds...and its wastage is so clearly brought out by Swamiji's quotes below...Sad nearly 70 years still no educationists in the country took below quotations seriously to bring the change. It gives a solid reason for ACP to find its root and strengthen itself against such alarming situation in future...

The present education is all wrong. The mind is crammed with facts before it knows how to think.

Open your eyes and see what a piteous cry is rising in the land of Bharatha, proverbial for its wealth. Will your education provide this want?Never.

Our character has disappeared. Our English education has destroyed everything and left nothing in its place. Our children have lost their politeness. To talk nicely is degrading. To be reverential to one's elders is degrading. Irreverence has been the sign of liberty.

The modern student is not practical. No handicraft is taught. The present system of English is entirely literary.

The old system of education in India..is very different from the modern system...It was thought that knowledge is so sacred that no man ought to sell it. Knowledge must be given freely and without any price.

My idea of education is personal contact with teacher - gurugriha vasa. Without the personal life of a teacher there would be no education.

Prime Minister can do now what Mahatma Gandhiji wanted, the changes in education...Looking at how things move, I doubt and therefore we may end up further in de-Indianization of our education...untill a time when we have a Prime Minister who will do what Mahatma Gandhiji wanted.

I find daily proof of the increasing & continuing wrong being done to the millions by our false de-Indianizing education.

We seem to have come to think that no one can hope to be like a Bose unless he knows English. I cannot conceive a grosser superstition than this. No Japanese feels so helpless as we seem to do....

The medium of instruction should be alerted at once, and at any cost, the provincial languages being given their rightful place. I would prefer temporary chaos in higher education to the criminal waste that is daily accumulating...

The foreign medium has caused brains fag, put an undue strain upon the nerves of our children, made them crammers and imitators, unfitted them for original work and thought, and disabled them for filtrating their learning to the family or the masses. The foreign medium has made our children practically foreigners in their own lands. It is the greatest tragedy of the existing system.

We, the English educated people alone are unable to assess the great loss that this factor has caused.

If I had the powers of a despot, I would today stop the tuitions of our boys and girls through a foreign medium and require all the teachers and professors on pain of dismissal to introduce the change forthwith. I would not wait for the preparation of Text books. They will follow the change. It is an evil that need a summary remedy.

This is near Mayiladuthurai...as I visited this temple from Mayiladuthurai couple of years back... குறுங்கை என்பதே கொற்கை என்று நாளடைவில் மருவியதாக கூறப்படுகிறது. செவி வழிச் செய்தியாக கிடைத்த தகவல், ஒரு காலத்தில் முனிவர் ஒருவர் இங்கே வந்து வழக்கம் போல் தனது கையை உயர்த்தி கங்கையை வரவழைக்க முயன்று தோற்று விநாயகரை வழிபட விநாயகரும் கையை உயர்த விநாயகரின் கை குறுகியதாம்...பின்னர் அசரீரீயாக இந்த திருக்கோவில் குளத்து நீரே கங்கைக்கு சமானம் என்று கேட்க முனிவர் குளத்து நீரையே அபிஷேகத்துக்கு பயன் படுத்தினாராம். இங்கே இருக்கும் ஒரு விநாயகருக்கு குறுங்கை விநாயகர் என்று பெயர் உள்ளது... சென்ற போது கோவிலின் நிலையும் திருக்குளத்தின் நிலையும் மனதுக்கு சங்கடமாக இருந்தது. இந்தக் கோவிலில் தான் சிவன் காமனை எரித்ததாக கூறப்படுகிறது. கோவிலுக்கு அருகில் வீபூதிக் குட்டை என்று ஒரு இடம் இருக்கிறது...அந்த இடத்தில் தான் மன்மதன் எரிந்து சாம்பலானான் என்றும் அந்த இடத்தில இருந்து மண்ணை (வீபூதியை) மக்கள் எடுத்து செல்கிறார்கள் என்றும் அங்கு இருந்தவர் ஒருவர் கூறினார்.திருநாவுக்கரசர் பாடல் பெற்ற திருக்கோவில் இது...

வாஞ்சிநாத சுவாமி திருக்கோவில்

Few years back was able to visit வாஞ்சிநாத சுவாமி திருக்கோவில் during my Mayiladuthurai tour. It was a wonder visit and experience...The temple tank and Pillayar in there and then to Pray to Yemadharmaraja and then it says to go inside the temple...

உழவாரம் குத்தம்பாக்கம் பெருமாள் கோவில்

Yesterday, Sunday 11th June 2017, had participated in the உழவாரம் குத்தம்பாக்கம் பெருமாள் கோவில் along with MadhavaSEVAS volunteers. Felt happy over a small contribution to those great temple builders of the by gone era. The priest mentioned, that he was the பரம்பரையா கோவிலில் பூஜை பண்ணுவதாகவும்...அவரின் தாத்தா இக்கோவில் 1500 வருடங்கள் பழமை ஆனது என்றும் தெரிவித்தார். அவரின் மகனும் இப்போது கோவிலுக்கு வந்த போது எனது கேமரா அவரையும் படம் எடுத்தது.
