Thirumoolar on Temples and Pujas there

http://www.rediff.com/news/report/pm-modi-receives-artefacts-worth-rs-668-cr-stolen-and-smuggled-to-us/20160607.htm PM Modi receives artefacts worth Rs 668 cr that were stolen and smuggled to US http://www.theweek.in/theweek/cover/illegal-trade-of-art-and-artefacts.html
According to conservative estimates, in any given decade starting from the 1950s, the number of idols smuggled out of India was between 10,000 and 20,000, and the worth was about Rs 20,000 crore. “Next to human and drug trafficking, art is the most profitable business,” says Prateep Philip....
The richness of Indian artefacts is the main lure. The Chola period sculptures, or the panchaloha idols, have been in demand because of their mix of five metals—gold, copper, silver, iron and lead. In some cases, tin or zinc is used.
Many blame the government’s apathy for the loot.....For instance, the Sripuranthan temple remained locked for several years....
Why only blame the govt? Why temples should be locked for several years? Would thefts happen if people regularly visit such temples? Who will tell them about the benefits of temple worship? The lines of Thirumoolar? Would the modern so called spiritual leaders ask their so called followers, instead of coming here, will you go and pray in temples?NEVER. How can they when they want to be Gods themselves and demand fee for Darshan/Initiation/Course fee/etc. for they alone know the Art of luring.
Thirumoolar says its very clearly what happens when temples are kept in poor maintenance, he said it 3000 years before.Kings built great temples in the absence of so called science and technology, but now with the presence of it or perhaps we have this and lost that knowledge of making idols building temples, we lack knowledge and wisdom to maintain and so face consequences as said in Thirumoolar. Anyway as the article says slowly idols are returning and find their place here...hope of silver lining seen.

Why did we become stone hearts?

When I saw in TV that day, I felt the country and society is waiting for a really big major disaster. For the society is getting ready to welcome such suffering by having turned the hearts to stone hard. Very often teachers say,'You are preparing to fail, if you do not prepare well for exam'. Same here, we are preparing for a failure or disaster by not doing the duty towards our fellow human suffering.
I used to talk about our TNagar scenes with students, there we see multi story jewellery/silk shops and right in the front we can also see limbless people on the ground with sand and sweat all over the body looking for few coins...Lets ask ourselves...Why did we become so stone hearts?
Even animals are better...None questions...PM wants to wear costly dress and so the people want to wear in silks and golds, completely blind and oblivious to the society's suffering. How did we become so insensitive?
I squarely blame on education as quoted,'Open your eyes and see what a piteous cry for food is rising in the land of Bharata, proverbial for its wealth. Will your education fulfill this want? Never'...More than 100 years back by Swami Vivekananda said it and we continue to see the ugly insensitive faces amidst us.
Any Guru wants to talk on these....Any action plan for these people begging...Any trust to be formed to help these poor? Yet every so called spiritual gurus wants to talk on Yoga, Tantra, Mantra,Meditation,Art of Killing...what not...ready to indulge even in the name of spirituality while people are dying and suffering, if they really care they will tell their followers go and help those suffering people instead of coming here...Would any of these so called Gurus say it?Never.
http://www.huffingtonpost.in/2016/08/25/for-a-man-who-had-to-carry-his-wifes-dead-body-for-10-kilometre/ Lets cover our face in shame or do something to wipe the tears of fellow human suffering.

Hinduism a way of life

http://www.chakranews.com/hinduism-way-life-really-know-means/5662?utm_campaign=Contact+SNS+For+More+Referrer&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=snsanalytics
Hinduism a way of life - I was reading this to see what the writer wants to convey and was disappointed nothing much was explained about way of life in the article.
To me, when we call it way of life(in fact almost every religion would like to claim theirs also a way of life not really a set of rules and regulations) what comes to mind is Hinduism's best social security, Caste system or Varna Dharma as its called. Its this Caste system or Division of labour based on our previous birth's good/bad deeds now gives us a place in society. Each one finds their determined role in Varna Dharma or Caste system and is expected to perform each one's duty without expecting any result as said in Bhagavad Gita. In the absence of Caste or Varna Dharma all these things are of no meaning, but mere words. If Swedish religious text books for classes 7-9 can teach their children in Sweden that Caste is a Security by giving determined roles and people belonging to one caste finds a sense of security being part of that caste, here in India, thanks to English colonial master's education even after 70 yrs of independence we still like to be intellectual slaves to such education and unable to think like our forefathers on Varna Dharma.
When everyone knows what to do and how to do in each of one's Caste, thats the way of life and best social security for the society. All works are for society's welfare but at the same time a cleaning process for the individual's own hearts to see the divine within one's own Self. Everyone's doing their work or prescribed duty for society's welfare, without any competition or compulsion makes it the cleaning process of one's own heart. So Hinduism tells one to live the live according to the prescribed duty and by doing it for society's welfare one will see the God within one's own Self and that is Mukthi or Liberation or Salvation or end of the way of life as one may want to call. This is how I understand Hinduism as a way of life with Kanchi MahaSwamigal's Deivathin Kural to help in this understanding.

MS Subbulakshmi's music in UN and so called tribute now....

Ever since I came to know that ARR will perform in UN to remember MSS, I was thinking only through such events he can get a chance to get a name as only second Indian to perform in UN assembly hall after MSS.
The very fact that talking of MSS to ARR ITSELF IS THE biggest blunder of degradation that has happened to carnatic music world. (Only music I liked in ARR was Roja film, after that he became a tool in cultural degradation through music, but well supported by degraded masses to love such noise and music)
http://www.thehindu.com/thread/arts-culture-society/article9002846.ece
people questioning the validity of the whole show. How exactly does Rahman represent MSS or her music genre?
Does anyone talk of the composer of Maithreem Bhajatha? Kanchi MahaSwamigal composed it for the special occasion when MSS was invited to represent Indian classical music.
True to that, when I google further, I came across this article which proves that....
http://www.dnaindia.com/analysis/column-cultural-incongruence-rahman-paying-tribute-to-ms-2244013
She would have cried “Jai ho!” if, instead of incurring the astronomical costs of transporting and hosting 40 musicians from India, the show had been held in Chennai, and the proceeds donated to her favourite charities -- healthcare and education.
In her 1966 UN concert, MS advocated friendship among nations and world peace, with an anthem echoing values from the Upanishad- damyata (austerity), datta (charity), dayadhvam (compassion), qualities she practised in her own life.
The New York Times declared, “Subbulakshmi’s vocal communication transcends words.”
I wonder anyone who understands these lines or in carnatic music term called the Bhaava of singing, music soaked with Bhakthi and Bhakthi alone which NONE seems to have after MS Subbulakshmi and yet each want to claim they are paying tributes to MSS...

Kendra Vidyalayas - One model for one country?

While I was a witness to the Kendra Vidyalaya in CLRI, Adyar morning assembly and being part of their Awakened Citizen Program inaugural day, what went in my mind was,'Why all schools be like Kendra Vidyalaya CLRI?' . Really speaking it was wonderful patriotic feeling is what I went through. School conducting the assembly in Hindi brought in the National unity through the language.
I sincerely believe one country one syllabus, just as one common entrance exam the govt is trying to bring. And I feel Kendra Vidyalaya should be that one school system to be followed. If there are any issues in the existing system, they could be sorted out, rather than bringing numerous boards and syllabus into the country/states.

Supreme Court on Value Education

Now look what Supreme Court says on making value education(they call it moral 'science' true to their loyalty to English education) http://www.thehindu.com/news/cant-order-moral-science-in-curriculum-sc/article8894338.ece " ‘It is not up to the court to decide how, and in what form, moral education should be imparted’ '
If the Supreme Court is sincere they can maintain this BUT make Value Education Mandatory asking Schools including parents to decide how it must be implemented, as they themselves say, 'there can be no dispute about the need of providing value-based education'...Without mentioning this, simply dismissing shows the ulterior motives of SC which an 8B boy says it out.
http://blogs.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tracking-indian-communities/who-should-be-blamed-for-swathis-murder-societys-lack-of-values/
Since we identified Society lacks values, what is to be done is to add values starting from primary school..
http://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-news-india/tamil-nadu-lawyers-protest-madras-hc-decision-to-discipline-them-2853506/
Lawyers not ready to be disciplined...example of the bottom level of lack of values...
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Tamil-Nadu-teachers-told-to-mind-their-blouses/articleshow/5345859.cms
Teachers not ready to be disciplined on decency either....example of the roots of society's lack of values as it originates from teachers.Worst is even when pointed out, such teachers want to protest in the name of freedom or what not...
http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/wont-pay-fine-dont-mind-going-to-jail-sri-sri-ravi-shankar/article8336406.ece
So this is from the so called spiritual guru for millions..classic case of Blind leading the blind... Now the Supreme Court saying on Value Education(or Moral Science as they wish to call it) tops it all....
In one of the class, I mentioned about Supreme Court's decision, why Supreme Court will not make it mandatory. I again ask, what happens when society IMPROVES ITS VALUES?I pause and wait, immediately one boy from 8B says,'Sir, They(Supreme Court staff) will lose their jobs'. When people have values, less crimes and no jobs for lawyers and judges...Right...So much so in the country which produced the greatest number of sages or saints in the world.
http://www.kamakoti.org/tamil/part1kural62.htm
Supreme court itself not really bothered about bringing values to society, then who will? or who will question their saying?Above lines say how slaves we are, that there is no essence of Swaraj in such situations created by Law makers who are our own people disguised as White people making such laws...

Values in Society

http://blogs.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tracking-indian-communities/who-should-be-blamed-for-swathis-murder-societys-lack-of-values/
Since we identified Society lacks values, what is to be done is to add values starting from primary school...Few years back a teacher was stabbed inside classroom by 9th std...did we add values? How many such human sacrifices are to happen before adding values in society?
http://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-news-india/tamil-nadu-lawyers-protest-madras-hc-decision-to-discipline-them-2853506/

So this is from the spiritual guru for millions..classic case of Blind leading the blind...
DO WE NEED MORE EXAMPLES TO PROVE SOCIETY'S LACK OF VALUES?
Now let me see where the real trouble on values lies and how we inherited it through English education...over 200 years.
http://time.com/4371195/nato-transatlantic-alliance-us-europe/
biggest terrorist threat the U.S. faces could be from its own citizens... It’s hard to export values that your people may not profess. And if Europe and the U.S. don’t share values, what do they share?
Only solution to remind, Albert Einstein Quote, 'Goal is to raise the Spiritual Values of the society'.Understanding what is spirituality now becomes the question for many.
