Should India celebrate women's day on 8th March?

In London there was a march from Bow to Trafalgar Square in support of women's suffrage on 8 March 1914. Sylvia Pankhurst was arrested in front of Charing Cross station on her way to speak in Trafalgar Square.

India made world to explore and find its way to India...Whether its discovery of America or Australia, it was all part of finding way to India-land of good hope. British women celebrate March 8 to remember the arrest demanding rights for women to vote...but long before this, India has had great women Queens(Rani Laxmibai or Rani Mangammal or Velu Nachiyar)...India has had great women philosophers...Gargi or Mythreyi or Mandana Mishra's wife challenging Adi Sankaracharya in debate...
To take the example of Kannaki, who questioned and punished even the King and his Kingdom, I wonder how many even among women wish to celebrate Kannagi?
With what or whose power she punished the Pandya King/Kingdom? By her sheer power of her chastity, right. Our women should aspire for that... The kind of purity in their character made them so powerful as Gods. I would be more happy to choose her ability to question the wrong doing of the King, than celebrating March 8th in India as mark of women's day... Take another example of Savithri who could see Yama, God of death and argue with him and bring her husband back to life.... People in India had long accepted women devotion to god and had accepted Meerabai or Avvaiyar or Mangaiyararasi or Akkamahadevi or Karaikkal Ammaiyar or In recent history MS Subbulakshmi captured the hearts of people across the world with her devotional songs.
Also it is to be noted March 8th 2016 is also the birthday of one of 63, Nayanmar Kochengat Cholan. His mother Queen Kamalavati supreme sacrifce of her own life so that her son would be a great king should be really celebrated as Woman's day....when we have plenty of such examples...Rani Padmini sacrificed her life to save woman's honour...thus we have plenty of such great histories of Indian womanhood....so we must be getting inspiration by knowing, appreciating, aspiring for the lives of these great women.
All these names are just to name a few..there are plenty...
Ardhanarishwara form of Shiva/Parvathi tells us how equality had been accepted long back...in Indian philosophy.India has been worshipping women as Goddess, including Bharath Matha or our Earth as Mathrubhumi....
India should celebrate one of these women's birthday as Women's day, then it makes sense to women here...else we only prove that we continue to follow international sub-standards(having been hynotized as Mahatma Gandhi said, by foreign medium of instrution) instead of recognising or appreciating these great women from India whose highest standards should be the ideal for any women across the world, not just for Indian women. Hope and Wish women here start thinking and do the required recognition for these great women, because right now many would not be even aware of. these great women....Only a wiser generation has to come and take these up and they will come out of the blunders that present celebrations. We just need to keep reminding of such great women.
Reminding Swami Vivekananda's words..."And what to speak of Sita? You may exaust the literature of the whole world that is past, ans i may assure you that you will have to exaust the literature of the future, before finding another Sita. Sita is unique, she has gone into the very vitals of our race. She is there in the blood of every hindu; we all are children of Sita.
Any attempt to modernise our woman, if it tries to take our women away from Sita, is immediately a failure (will be worse), as we see every day. The women must grow and develop in the foot-prints of Sita, and that is the only way for salvation of a women's life'."
