Appreciate our teachers, the inspiring teachers

Its a pleasant surprise that Dubai based Varkey was founded by Sunny Varkey, born in Kerala....Our top business people could take some lessons from this educational philanthropist. Teacher was awarded for her 'Play and Learn' idea...Looking at some egs. from Lilavati of Bhaskaracharya, we see how Maths was taught practically...we hear that Board Exams are tough as it was more practical oriented...showing how we have deviated from the olden days learning maths.

Wearing a traditional Palestinian dress and black veil, Hroub was hailed by world leaders at the ceremony for the Nobel-style award, set up two years ago by the Dubai-based Varkey Foundation. - Video messages from Pope Francis, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, US Vice President Joe Biden, Britain's Prince William and Microsoft founder Bill Gates were broadcast at the ceremony.
India is very rich, there are many people in the country who spends hundreds of crores for their children's wedding...when our country streets are with begging children. Its high time, these rich people to set up such foundations to recognize, appreciate great teachers...and also give such media attention which at present our media is giving for film stars...its sad not one media or journalists are asking for such importance for teachers...
When we have in every small towns, Ms/Mrs beauty contests why not every small town start appreciating inspiring teachers...to give real meaning to Guru as God?
We must give such importance in ALL OUR MEDIA and MAKE TEACHING JOB A BETTER ONE....To make better future generation first we need to make better teachers, who are in school to inspire students who make others inspired by their conduct/appearance/teaching and not invite Govt. circulars on dress-code as in some states...
