Jallikattu and Animal rights

We need to know more reasons as why JALLIKKATTU bull taming chivalry game in Tamil Nadu been the target of people who say they want to treat animals ethically. If their stand and intensity is high, why are they not showing the same interest in asking for 'ethics' when it comes to killing animals to feed people stomach? Tamil people tradition has been to thank Sun as God for the harvest,bulls and cows for their help in cultivation,We worship cows and will not tolerate bulls landing in butchers shop. We have the tradition on building water tanks with a slope on one side, without concrete steps so that animals can make use of the temple tanks to quench their thirst. We have tradition of erecting 'Aauranchikkal' or stone pillars for animals like cows to srub their skins. Our religious beliefs are taught to respect animals connecting them with one of the numerous Gods we worship, by doing all that we only finally reach the knowledge that God is within us by experience. Its a shame that we have fallen so much down in our values in treating our animals, that has made rooms for foreign backed NGOs to talk about animal treatment when they should first take lessons in treating their own fellow human being. Having got a broken families and lack of spiritual values showing love to animals, but no love to families.. They tell us on animal love and treatment...Let them first find ways to reduce gun deaths which takes more than 30,000 lives per year. If thats stopped families are having love and spiritual values...naturally animals would be treated well.. In the absence of such environment we may see many organizations trying to talk for animals rights and ethics,which are nothing but 'sophisticated emotional drama' to make மறத் தமிழனின் வீரத்தை ஒடுக்கும் ஒரு பெரிய சதி..எத்தனை நாள் காத்திருக்க வேண்டுமோ?
